By accessing and using RookieHire ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. Description of Service
RookieHire is a directory platform that connects trade businesses ("Businesses") with entry-level workers ("Rookies") seeking mentorship-focused employment opportunities. We facilitate connections but are not a staffing agency, employment agency, or party to any employment relationship.
3. Minimum Wage Compliance
All employment relationships facilitated through this platform must comply with federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. RookieHire explicitly requires that all positions listed must be paid positions that meet or exceed applicable minimum wage requirements. We do not support, facilitate, or condone unpaid internships or unpaid labor arrangements.
Businesses are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws, including but not limited to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and state-specific wage and hour regulations.
4. User Responsibilities
For Rookies:
- Provide accurate and truthful information in your profile
- Verify the legitimacy of businesses before accepting employment
- Ensure all employment arrangements comply with applicable labor laws
- Report any violations or concerns to appropriate authorities
For Businesses:
- Provide accurate information about your company and job opportunities
- Comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws
- Pay at least minimum wage for all work performed
- Provide a safe and legal work environment
- Honor all employment agreements and commitments
5. Limitation of Liability
RookieHire acts solely as a directory and connection platform. We are not a party to any employment relationship between Businesses and Rookies. We do not:
- Guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any employment opportunity
- Verify the credentials, qualifications, or background of any user
- Mediate disputes between Businesses and Rookies
- Assume liability for any employment-related disputes, injuries, or violations
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless RookieHire, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from their use of the platform or any employment relationship formed through it.
6. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes between Businesses and Rookies must be resolved directly between the parties involved. RookieHire is not responsible for mediating or resolving employment disputes, wage disputes, or any other conflicts arising from relationships formed through the platform.
Users are encouraged to report violations of labor laws to the appropriate government agencies, such as the U.S. Department of Labor or state labor departments.
7. Account and Profile Information
Users are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of their profile information and for the security of their accounts. You agree not to share your account credentials with others and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
8. Prohibited Activities
Users may not:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Use the platform for any illegal purpose
- Harass, discriminate, or engage in unlawful conduct toward other users
- Violate any applicable labor laws or employment regulations
- Attempt to circumvent platform features or security measures
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the RookieHire platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of RookieHire or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
10. Modifications to Terms
RookieHire reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the platform after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
